NO SOULMATES HERE
It’s Official: Martha Stewart Signs Up for Match.com
Martha Stewart has a problem with the words “soul mate,” but she’s joined all the singles out there on Match.com—“in the spirit of adventure,” that is. Stewart said on the Today show last week that she’d consider joining the dating site, and then on Tuesday, she created a profile with Sam Yagan, the CEO of Match and co-founder of OkCupid. Her ideal candidates? “I’d like to have breakfast with somebody. I’d like to go to bed with somebody. Sleep with somebody,” Stewart said. Aw, Martha, we all do. The 71-year-old has been married once, to publishing executive Andrew Stewart, and they have a daughter, Alexis. Most recently, Stewart was dating ex-Microsoft executive Charles Simonyi. They split after five years shortly before Stewart went to prison in 2008. One more thing: Stewart said she doesn't like the phrase "soul mate," but was inspired to look at Match.com after some of her employees had success.
