Exercise Reduces Women’s Risk of Kidney Stones
While experts continue to debate the merits and flaws of exercise, a new study proves that women who exercise, even mildly, cut their risk of kidney stones by a third. The results of the 85,000-woman study were unveiled at an American Urological Association conference on Friday in San Diego. Researchers found that even small amounts of exercise, such as walking two hours a week, had an effect on women's risk for kidney stones. An estimated 9 percent of the population will suffer from the ailment during their lifetime.
