New Schedule for NCAA?

One official argues it would boost interest in women’s college basketball.

Does college women’s basketball need a shakeup? One former official thinks so. After a 6-month study, former president of USA Basketball Val Ackerman has recommended widespread changes for the NCAA tournament. She suggested holding the men’s and women’s Final Four at the same location on a one-time trial basis and proposed that the NCAA hold the women’s Final Four the weekend following the men’s tournament. She argued that the rules need to be re-examined to speed up the game and increase scores. These changes could potentially put more of a spotlight on the women’s sport.
