Women to Breastfeed in NY Park
Many activist moms plan on spreading word about the benefits of breastfeeding by publicly nursing their children in a park in New York city as part of the worldwide initiative “The Big Latch On.” On August 3, the women in Inwood Hill Park, New York, will do what other activists are doing—at more than 290 locations around the world. Thousands of mothers are planning on feeding their children, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in their respective time zones. The women believe new moms should breastfeed because it has been shown to benefit the health of babies and their new mothers. The babies were not available for comment.
