Feminist Swedish Protesters Go Topless
Immediately after entering the mosque in burqas, the protesters stripped them off and bared their breasts, which bore signs that said things like “No Sharia in Egypt and the world” and “My body is mine, not somebody's honor.” Welcome to Stockholm, where protesters from the feminist group FEMEN staged a protest Saturday to draw attention to women’s rights, freedom of the press, and domestic violence. Mosque employees called for them to leave. When they didn't, an all-male police task force forcibly removed them. The group targeted a Tunisian diplomat earlier this month in Brussels, demanding the release of three other Tunisian FEMEN activists. Four more were arrested in the Brussels incident and sentenced to four months in jail.
