Abortion: The Game

Women developing video game about Texas abortion access.

Are there other ways that people could learn more about reproductive health care access, besides through legislators and the news? Two women are developing Choice: Texas, a video game based on the state’s abortion debate. Allyson Whipple and Carly Kocurek, along with illustrator Grace Jennings, have set up a Tumblr and are looking for funding through IndieGoGo. They are labeling it as “a very serious game,” and say it will focus on different female characters and Texas-specific scenarios they encounter. It will be available for free on the Web around February 2014.
