Tired tropes aside, there are plenty of films that prove hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. This month, two New York cinemas serve series that celebrate the femme fatale—vengeful, seductive, lurid, and dangerous. The Brooklyn Academy of Music kicks off its month-long eerie "Vengeance is Hers," featuring "cinema's most unforgettable heroines and anti-heroines as they seize control and take no prisoners." This week IFC announced its own lurid list of "Erotic Thrillers."
