    Labor Dept. Features Women Vets

On new website dedicated to fixing issues.

The United States Labor Department has launched a new website devoted to highlighting and attempting to confront the challenges that face female veterans. The site was created thanks to the Labor Department, the Veterans’ Employment Training Service and the Women’s Bureau and focuses on issues such as higher rates of disability, divorce and single parenting for women veterans. According to a news release, though nonveteran women make less than veterans, the women veterans still earn about $6,000 less on average annually than men.
