    Eva Schloss often found herself in the shadow of her stepsister for many years. Not long after the uproar over Justin Beiber’s naively absendminded statement about wishing Anne Frank would have been a fan of his in another life, 83-year-old Schloss sat down with the Telegraph’s Neil Tweedie to talk about surviving the Holocaust and how the idealized image of Frank impacted her life.

    “She probably would’ve been a fan. Why not? He’s a young man and she was a young girl, and she liked film stars and music. They make a lot of fuss about everything that is connected with Anne Frank,” said Schloss, dousing the wildfire of criticism with sensibility and realness.

    Bieber’s Mom Producing Anti-Abortion Film

    Hopes to raise $10 million.

    Maybe there were political undertones we missed to Justin Bieber’s song “Baby." The pop star’s mother, Pattie Mallette, is executive producing an anti-abortion short film that’s set to start screening Feb. 29. It’s Mallette’s hope that the film, called Crescendo, will raise $10 million for pregnancy centers. Mallette, who has been outspoken about the addiction and abuse that led to her teenage pregnancy, said she hopes that attaching her name to the film will let young women know that there are  “people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."
