Slow dancing, glittery dress, and all.
Tanya Kach never had the incredibly awkward experience of getting an over-the-top corsage or having to “leave room for Jesus” at the dance. She remembers crying and dreaming of the day while she was 18 years old, stuck in captivity in a Pennsylvania home. When Kach was 14, a school security guard took her captive, holding her for 10 years before she escaped in 2006. Kach’s fiancé, Karl McCrum, called a radio station and received tickets for a “second-chance prom.” The night of dinner and dancing was perfect, the couple said. If only everyone could get that second chance.
