FIFA President Sepp Blatter has apologized to England and Mexico for blown calls that contributed to their teams’ World Cup defeats. Consequently, FIFA will “reopen the file” on video review when its rule-making panel meets in Wales next month; Blatter said it would be “nonsense” not to revisit issue, and also announced that FIFA will update its referee-training program. Delegates from both the English and Mexican team accepted Blatter’s apology.
