Yeshiva University High School for Boys, the famous Manhattan Orthodox Jewish prep school, had a decades-long history of covering up the sexual abuse of its students by members of its staff, according to an investigation by the Forward newspaper. During the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, “charges of improper sexual activity” were made against several members of the staff, including a former principal, who reportedly repeatedly abused students. One former student said he was sodomized. The allegations were never reported to police, and the school dealt with them by quietly allowing the accused staff members to leave and find jobs at other schools.
