Maybe Mark Zuckerberg is hoping that Chris Christie’s newfound popularity will rub off. The Facebook founder will host a fundraiser for the New Jersey governor at Zuckerberg’s Palo Alto mansion next month, both sides confirmed on Thursday. Christie adviser Michael DuHaime said that Zuckerberg approached Christie prior to his decision to run for reelection this year. The pair worked together—with Newark Mayor Cory Booker—in 2010 after Zuckerberg donated $100 million to Newark public schools and have worked together since on education issues. Could it be the real reason that Cory Booker didn’t want to run again: he didn’t want to break up the group?
