Disney’s Zootopia was considered a hit by critics and the audiences worldwide, but apparently one little kid isn’t a fan. Like, really isn’t a fan.
According to China-based site NetEase, an artist called Zhao took three days and three nights to painstakingly craft a 1.8 meter statue of Zootopia character Nick Wilde from thousands of LEGO bricks, only to have a four-year-old knock down the piece after just one hour of display.
The statue was destroyed despite ropes and “No Touching” signs.
The sculptor, identified by Chinese media as a schoolteacher, apparently didn’t ask for any compensation for the destruction of his masterpiece, which was valued at roughly $15,000 USD, accepting the child’s apology instead. Since the figure was partially sealed with glue, only about a third of the cartoon fox could be recovered.
This comes months after Chinese state media called Zootopia “invisible propaganda.”
