Brooklyn’s ‘Bad Grandma’ Arrested for Purse-Snatching (VIDEO)

Alleged senior citizen thief not Johnny Knoxville in disguise.

It’s the 21st-century New York City version of “man bites dog.” Sixty-eight-year-old Hannah Harris was arrested Tuesday, accused of stealing purses in her home borough of Brooklyn.

NYPD investigators say they connected Harris to a June 1 theft of an unattended purse at the Tea Lounge in Park Slope and of a very attended purse in Fort Greene’s Mullanes Bar and Grill on June 22.

Police say the video below, via Gothamist, shows Harris walking into Mullanes, quietly pulling a purse off the chair of a mother tending to her child, and leaving the scene.

Harris, a resident of Boerum Hill, is charged with two counts of grand larceny and possession of stolen property.
