Former Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann will endorse presumptive nominee Mitt Romney on Thursday, Romney campaign officials said. Although the move hardly comes as a surprise—Romney is the only candidate left standing—Bachmann had strong words for Romney on the campaign trail when they were foes, including her attack on the health-care plan enacted under his watch as the governor of Massachusetts, which she called “socialized medicine.” Bachmann and Romney will appear in one of the most highly sought after states: Virginia, a former Republican stronghold that went for President Obama in 2008. Meanwhile, Romney had an “off the record ” meeting with right-of-center media outlets on Wednesday.
