Classic American rock ’n’ roll radio host Casey Kasem is apparently missing. At a hearing Monday in Los Angeles, a lawyer for his wife, Jean, said “I have no idea where he is” and claimed he had been removed from the country. Kasem, 82, had been suffering from advanced Parkinson’s disease and has lost his ability to speak after decades of working in radio as one of the most iconic personalities in the industry. His wife had moved him to multiple medical facilities, much to the chagrin of his children from a previous marriage. They claim their stepmother also kept them from seeing their father. Daughter Kerri Kasem won a temporary conservatorship, and Los Angeles Superior court Judge Daniel S. Murphy ordered a court investigator and adult protective services to locate the former host of America’s Top 40.
