The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday approved a libido prescription drug for women, after a long lobbying campaign accused the agency of gender bias. Addyi is now the first drug to treat absent libido for either sex. There are concerns that the drug is only minimally effective and could cause low blood pressure, fainting, and dizziness.
