A group of black athletes at the University of Missouri announced on Saturday night that they plan to strike in protest of recent events on campus. The players will stop participating in football activities until university president Tim Wolfe resigns. There have been numerous instances of racial targeting on campus recently including someone shouting the N-word at members of the Legion of Black Collegians and the smearing of a swastika in feces on a bathroom wall. The athletics department is aware of the protest against Wolfe and his slow reactions to these recent hate-fueled events.
