Huma Abedin Opens Up To Harper’s Bazaar: At her husband's press conference on Tuesday, Huma Abedin -- clad in a black cardigan and multi-colored skirt -- told their audience: “I’m proud to be married to him.” The couple is well-acquainted with the fashion world— she's been featured in Vogue and taken fashion cues from Michelle Obama, recently sporting the same red-checked ASOS dress previously worn by the First Lady. Even Weiner has been known to show a little fashion sense in the pants department. For their September issue, Abedin opens up to fashion glossy Harper’s Bazaar about her decision to forgive her husband, her belief in his abilities, and how “putting yourself out there comes with a cost.” [Harper’s Bazaar]

Barney's New York and Jay Z To Collaborate?: Rumors are circulating that Barney's New York and Jay Z may be in the talks regarding a future collaboration. Although the plans between the two powerhouses are very much under wraps, WWD reports that there are also speculations of the collaboration coinciding with the holiday season -- Barney's has been known to tap major names for their holiday collections, including Lady Gaga and Disney. This high-fashion union would compliment Jay Z’s public love for fashion designers, many of whom he pays homage to in his music. [WWD]

Karl Lagerfeld Designs Cate Blanchett's Blue Jasmine Costume: For Cate Blanchett’s portrayal of an Upper East Side socialite in Blue Jasmine, Karl Lagerfeld designed two one-of-a-kind Chanel pieces. Director Woody Allen and Costume Designer Suzy Benzinger aimed for high-end designers when dressing Blanchett’s character, so Chanel seemed like the ideal option. After asking Lagerfeld to design the pieces, Benzinger was shocked at his prompt response and turn around. "I was astounded,” she said. “I sent a note and in two days he shipped out two custom made jackets for Cate Blanchett with the most beautiful note…he just said, ’For Cate, I’d do anything.'” [Lucky]

Beth Ditto Weds Girlfriend in Jean Paul Gaultier: Singer-songwriter Beth Ditto married her longtime girlfriend Kristin Ogata in a Jean Paul Gaultier knee-length, tulle-skirted dress. Gaultier and Ditto are longtime friends, and Ditto even modeled in his Spring/Summer 2011 runway show. Ditto extended her thanks to the designer via Facebook: “So much love and appreciation to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us! And a huge thank you to Jean Paul Gaultier for the dream-come-true dress!" [The Cut]

A Clothing Company That Fights Sweat in the Workplace: A former trader has created a line of undershirts to solve sweaty summer situations by erasing sweat stains and body odor. “I got the inspiration to start Nudy Patooty from working in finance for four and a half years, and wearing corporate attire every day,” said founder Michelle Shemilt. “I realized pretty quickly that A) perspiration stains were a problem and B) my dry cleaning bill was insane.” Shemilt ensures the breathability and absorbency of the 95 percent bamboo fabric tops. “Women right now are being told to lean in, put your hand up—you need to feel good about yourself to do that,” Shemilt said. “If you’re worried about sweat stains or body odor you’re not going to put your best foot forward.” [Fashionista]
