Recordings of two Bob Marley concerts that were believed to have been lost were found and restored after having spent more than 40 years in the basement of a run-down London hotel before being discovered during a building cleanout. The original tapes, which were thought to have been destroyed from water damage, featured recordings from Marley’s performances in London and Paris in the 1970s. “They were [in an] appalling [condition] ... I wasn’t too hopeful,” a sound engineer told the BBC.
