Student-led organizers of a gun-control rally in Washington, D.C. next month told officials they expect as many as 500,000 people to attend. The organizers of the “March For Our Lives” event filed a permit application this week with the National Park Service, but an exact location has yet to be determined. The effort was launched last week, shortly after a gunman killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. According to the application, the event, scheduled for March 24, will feature 14 Jumbotrons and 2,000 chairs.
