Pittsburgh Penguins Win Stanley Cup

The Pittsburgh Penguins claimed their fourth Stanley Cup win Sunday with a 3-1 victory against the San Jose Sharks. Although the Sharks managed to get a tie in the second period, the Penguins were quick to crush any hope they had of winning, as defenseman Kris Letang launched an offensive and regained the Penguins’ lead. The game ended with Sidney Crosby launching the puck across the entire length of the ice, triggering a raucous celebration. Crosby was then awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP and the Stanley Cup.
