Former reality TV star Lyric McHenry was found dead in the Bronx early Tuesday morning in a suspected drug overdose, the New York Daily News reports. McHenry, star of E! network’s EJNYC, was found on a sidewalk under a New York City expressway with a small bag of cocaine. She reportedly was only wearing a pajama top and underwear, and had bruises on her knees. Police are investigating if McHenry, who was 20-weeks pregnant, was “dumped on the sidewalk.” Hours before she was found, she posted pictures and videos on Instagram while partying in lower Manhattan. McHenry produced and starred in a one-season reality show alongside Magic Johnson’s son and her sister Maya in 2016. She then went on to produce for Complex Networks before becoming a freelancer in 2017. McHenry was a Stanford University alum who worked on Barack Obama’s presidential campaign when she was 15. She was also part of the Ron Brown Scholar Program, which provides scholarships to black students for academic excellence and community service.
