Prep-School Perp Gets Year in Jail

Owen Labrie, a 20-year-old New Hampshire prep-school student, was sentenced Thursday to a year in county prison for sexually assaulting an underage classmate. He will also serve probation. In August, he was convicted of a misdemeanor sexual assault and a felony count of using a computer to try to lure a girl to a sexual encounter. Labrie’s act was part of a bigger game at the elite St. Paul’s School in which graduating seniors try to have sex with underclassmen.
