Reagan Blood Auction Canceled

Blood aficionados, look elsewhere. An online auction for a vial of blood alleged to have been from Ronald Reagan has been canceled, an official said Thursday. The vial of blood will instead be donated to the Reagan Presidential Library. An anonymous seller had said he or she had obtained the blood vial after Reagan was admitted to George Washington University Hospital after being shot by John Hinckley in 1981, and the seller had said it seemed to be more in the interest of “Reaganomics” to sell the blood rather than donate it. PFC Auctions, based on the island of Guernsey, a British dependency, had been threatened with legal action by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
