Rep. Steve King, national co-chairman for Ted Cruz's presidential campaign, suggested Monday that Donald Trump is paying Sarah Palin for her endorsement. The former governor turned reality TV star gave her official approval to Trump's bid last month and will appear with the candidate in Iowa on caucus day. Appearing on NBC, King told reporter Chris Jansing that Palin agrees more with Cruz on policy and implied that Trump has made it worth her while to jump ship: "I don't know many people who have been able to say no to Donald Trump," King said. "He has a massive amount of assets and resources that he can deploy when it comes time to convince someone. And that has to affect the way people think—not only the plus-ups of the promotion, the limelight, all the resources that are there, but the other side of that."
