People struggle with bras fitting incorrectly—especially people who have larger cup sizes. It becomes more about utility than style, which seems like a huge oversight by most bra brands. Back in June of last year, direct-to-consumer bra brand ThirdLove added 24 new sizes to their Perfect Coverage Bra. Today, they added the same 24 new sizes to four more of their bra style, bringing a whopping 78 sizes into the fold.
The new sizes will be available in these ThirdLove styles: the Perfect Coverage, Classic T-Shirt, Cotton T-Shirt, Everyday Lace T-Shirt, and the Lace Back T-Shirt. The brand already offers half sizes, which is a unique and considerable upgrade to the quality of life for bra-wearers—and something practically unheard of before their launch. With the addition of these new sizes, band sizes start at 30” and go up to 48”, with cup sizes from AA-I (with half sizes in between).
Plus, unlike a lot of other brands that change the design of bras or charge more money for larger cup sizes, ThirdLove upgrades them with wider straps, a more substantial hook and eye closure and keeps the same price. This small but important detail shows that ThirdLove truly creates each new bra size with every person in mind.
This expansion, which features not one but two lingerie styles, goes to show that it’s not hard to be inclusive and make it look good.
