The National Security Agency, known for destroying data and wiretapping millions of Americans, was once a young agency that had to make a name for itself. During the agency's conception at the height of the Cold War under President Harry Truman, the government commissioned propaganda posters for the NSA. Over 130 of these flyers were released by Government Attic on Monday. The posters make references to pop culture, slam Communist Russia, and warn about giving away state secrets.
