Few videos from the recent are as shocking this one: apparently a green and white police van deliberately runs over a protester. More on this story from at CNN.com.

Protesters Fight Back

The Ashura protests have been marked by increased violence on both sides. In this clip, a group of rebels has allegedly seized a Basij militiaman, and is debating the next course of action. According to Facebook commenters, some crowd members are chanting "Let him go." The protesters’ actions have caused some outside observers to question their support for the opposition.

In a powerful scene, protesters crowd several Basij into a corner, demanding accountability. “All you can do is kill your people is it?” a woman is reported to shout—as the militiamen beg for forgiveness, pleading that they “are not killers.” In the distance, a woman shouts: “Are you only brave on your motorbike, you piece of shit?”

Police Crack Down Hard on Protesters

The reinvigorated Iranian “Green movement” was greeted with an even more forceful response from the government. The battered and bloodied protesters in this video were allegedly beaten by police; the building on fire is a police station, say bloggers.
