Women in The World Featured Panel: Rape as a Weapon of War

The use of rape as a weapon of war in Congo was the subject of a harrowing but utterly engrossing panel at the Women in the World summit. Christiane Amanpour served as moderator, with participants including Leymah Gbowee, executive director of Women Peace and Security Network Africa; Dr. Denis Mukwege, founder of The Panzi Hospital of Bukavu; and Annie Rashidi-Mulumba, a consultant on human rights for the United Nations in Cameroon.
