Nothing says Easter like a Cadbury Crème Egg, unless you’re a fan of a sugar-glazed Peep, a classic stash of jelly beans, or a bunny carved of milk chocolate. Of course, for those monitoring fat or sugar intake, some indulgences are worse than others. A serving of chick-shaped SweeTarts have about one-quarter of the calories found in a chocolate bunny, but the bunny contains one third less sugar than Robin Eggs. So for those seeking some guidance before polishing off a basket of goodies, we ranked Easter sweets according to the nutrition label.
To figure out which are worst for your waist, The Daily Beast pored over the nutritional data of nearly 40 popular and classic Easter treats from the local candy aisle. The sweets were ranked based on the average of their respective ranks in four categories: calories, saturated fat, carbohydrates, and sugar. The list is presented in order, from least to most healthy.
