Postscript to the Murray Review

Toward the end of Part 5 of my Charles Murray review, I offered an alternative 'code' for the new American upper class. It included the following sentence: 

Whenever you are inclined to criticize anyone, just remember that not everybody was born with the advantages you had.

That's adapted from the opening page of the Great Gatsby, where it is offered as the foundational world view of Nick Carraway's Victorian Midwestern professional class father...
