Camilla - Will She Ever Be Queen?

Is Camilla citing precedent?

There are some people who say Camilla will never be Queen, that the British public would never accept a divorced King installing his his new wife as Queen, especially when she was the ‘other woman’ who had a role in the break-up of his first marriage.

Then there are those who say a divorced King has no impediment to declaring one’s wife Queen. Look at Henry VII, they say, married six times and each of his wives proclaimed Queen.

On which side of the fence does Camilla fall?

Well, she has just accepted the role of Patron of the Queen Katherine Parr Quincentenary Festival. Katherine was the sixth and final wife of Henry.

The Duchess of Cornwall said in her official statement: “With over a thousand years of history, Sudeley Castle has many stories to tell; but none greater and more inspiring than that of its most famous Tudor resident, Queen Katherine Parr.”

Got that? QUEEN Katherine Parr. QUEEN.
