The wounded veterans involved in the charity Walking With the Wounded's attempt to scale the world's highest mountain write on their blog that they are setling into Everest base camp. Here, Private Jaco van Gass, who lost his left arm in a rocket blast in Afghanistan in 2009, tries out a prosthetic ice axe of his his own invention.
Prince Harry is patron of the charity.
