Following the furore concerning Pippa Middleton’s imitation gun-toting pal, we’ve been having a closer look at the 500-plus images on facebook of the Vicomte A party which Pippa attended before the big bust-up, and an online video.
It certainly looks like a serious bash, judging by this video on French gossip site Gala – dancing dwarves, women jumping out of cakes, and hundreds of French people dressed up in lavish Belle Epoque fancy dress.
At one stage, Vicomte A founder, Viscount Arthur de Soultrait, is asked why Pippa is at the bash: “She’s my friend and she is super-cool,” he replies.
Some posters have said today that the Royalist has not paid enough attention to the fact that the paparazzo who got the fake gun pointed at him was operating in Paris, the very place where Diana was chased to her death by a swarm of motorcycle-mounted photographers.
It’s a good point, but it’s also worth pointing out that Pippa was clearly happy enough to go along to a party where promotional video and pictures were being taken.
Sixty years and hardly a slip.
