William's Choice

What will William do?

There's been speculation recently that William might have to make a choice sometime soon between flying choppers for the airforce and representing Royalty around the world.

So what will Prince William, who currently works as an RAF rescue pilot, do for  day job when his current tour of duty ends in mid-2013?

We asked  St James's place who came back with the following list of four options for William:

"To undertake a second (3.5 year) tour of duty as a Search and Rescue pilot, at the same base or elsewhere.
To extend his current tour of duty for up to two years.
To move to another role in the Armed Forces.
To leave the Forces altogether and pursue another line of work, most likely in the context of his official and charitable duties."

"The Duke is no hurry to make a decision," adds his press secretary, "and will make the decision jointly with his wife."
