The Diamond Jubilee riverboat pageant on the Thames is underway and going smoothly, with over 1,000 boats making their way down the river in an extraordinary spectacle.

It's a chilly day and there is not a peep of sunshine, but the rain is holding off.

The streets of London and the riverbank are packed with crowds, undeterred by the chilly day.
