Kate's sister Pippa Middleton has reignited her romance with her ex Alex Loudon, a former cricket player for England's national side, following a split last year as the sportsman-turned-financier struggled to cope with her meteoric rise to fame.

Things came to a head with a blazing row at a friend's wedding. He told friends at the time that he couldn't handle the 'circus' that surrounded Kate's sister at all times, after she shot to fame for her scene-stealing supporting role in her sister's wedding. She received so much attention her derriere was even given its own Facebook page. She is now asking in on her fame by writing book on party planning, entitled 'Celebrate!' for which she received a half-million dollar advance.

Pippa was spotted by UK tabloid The People leaving Alex's home at 7 am this week. The Sunday paper has the story on its front page in the UK this morning. 

Pippa was spotted loading her bags into the boot of her BMW Z4 convertible, and Alex left about an hour later on a scooter, wearing a white crash helmet and protective gear.

People writer Robert Jobson says that a source "close to the Middleton family" has confirmed the couple are back seeing each other.

The insider said: "They were always well-matched but circumstances beyond their control interfered in their relationship."

Pippa's mum Carole had been trying to promote a match between Pippa and George Percy, heir to the dukedom of Northumberland, even inviting him on a family ski holiday, but friends have consistently told the Daily Beast that there is 'no chemistry' between the two, and that Percy hates the media attention that goes with being with Pippa.

Alex, who is a City banker, has been described as the 'love of her life' by friends who say they are delighted the pair are getting back together.
