Though she's been spotted all over the city with Suri, we expect Katie Holmes is hard at work. A date has been set for the first New York presentation of her clothing line, Holmes & Yang. The brand, which she designs alongside her longtime stylist and friend, Jeanne Yang, will show on September 8th at 9 p.m. A location has not yet been announced.

Immediately following the news that Holmes was filing for divorce, Holmes & Yang announced that it would be showing the collection in New York in September.

This follows a report that Holmes might be “trying out for J.Crew” after she was spotted at the Columbus Circle store four times time in a single week. But a company spokesperson swatted it down, saying that she’s not in talks to work with the brand. Maybe she was just making returns?

Holmes & Yang, which launched in 2009, has seen an incredible boost in sales since Holmes’ divorce from Tom Cruise last month. Sales representatives at Barneys in New York and Los Angeles said that the line was flying off shelves following the announcement of their divorce.
