Who am I? Mrs Cambridge, Kate Tells Shop Owner
A Welsh shop owner who failed to identify Kate Middleton when she wanted to buy a wetsuit but didn't have any cash on her was told by Kate she was called 'Mrs Cambridge' when he asked to take her name.
Dave Buckland, of the Funsport store has a record of not recognising celebrities, having previously blanked Jude Law.
A source told the Mail: ‘He produced a pen and asked for her name. Perhaps she was trying to play down her destiny as future Queen, but she replied “Mrs Cambridge”.
‘He was looking straight at her and actually commented that it was quite an unusual surname. He hadn’t a clue who she was. She just smiled and said she’d be back.
‘He hasn’t lived it down since.’
