At the Republican and Democratic Conventions, we have seen a sea of conservative dresses in blue, red, and every shade in between. There was Ann in her fire-engine Oscar de la Renta, straight out of the First Lady playbook. There was Michelle in her fashion-forward dress by an African American Detroit-native.

And then there was Valerie Biden Owens, the Vice President's 66-year-old sister, in a loud, body-hugging dress by Givenchy -- that retails for $2,395.

As Vice President addressed the crowd on Thursday night, the camera panned frequently to the front row, where Biden Owens sat alongside her sister-in-law, Dr. Jill Biden, Marion Robinson, and the First Lady. And then there was the dress: a bright blue dress with a "bird of Paradise" print, straight from Givenchy's popular 2012 Resort collection. So popular, in fact, it was the same dress that Fergie (of the Black Eyed Peas) wore on her 37th Birthday party at the 1 Oak Nightclub in Las Vegas back in April. And Carmelo Anthony's wife, Lala -- who's the star of Lala's Full Court Life -- wore the same dress in New York in March.

The Vice President's 66-year-old sister, Biden Owens has managed every single one of her brother's campaigns since his first Senate bid. In 2008, she was labeled a "Sister Strategist," telling The New York Times, saying that Joe "has been my best friend all my life…“I opened my eyes and he was there and he said, ‘Let’s go.’ I was his sidekick.” Sidekick -- or stealing the show?
