7am EST Update:
William and Kate’s trip to Singapore is continuing at a blistering pace, with the young royals arriving in the last few minutes at Istana, the official residence of President Tony Tan Keng Ya. Kate is wearing a purple and white dress by Singaporean-born designer Prabul Gurung.
The local time in Singapore is 7pm. William has been inspecting the troops and they are now due to have an informal meeting with the Singapore head of state and Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong.
After that, it’s a state reception and dinner in honor of the Young Royals, who are touring the South Pacific on behalf of the Queen, as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
William and Kate will stay in Singapore until September 13; then it’s on to Malaysia, where they will tour Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, from September 13-15; then to the Solomon Islands between September 16-18 and the final stop is Tuvalu from September 18-19.
Sixty years and hardly a slip.
