Arise Queen Kate!

As their lawyers won a victory in a French courtroom to stop the magazine Closer reprinting topless pictures of Kate, the young royal couple were carried shoulder-high through the streets of Tuvalu today on home-made thrones, in accordance with tradition on the Polynesian island.

A group of 20 men in traditional Polynesian dress carried the Royal couple to a tribal hall for a welcoming ceremony, known as a falekaupule.

Kate donned a grass skirt and danced with the locals.
