Who Won the War of 1812?

I debated the question, "Who won the war of 1812?" in Ft. Erie, Ontario, on Sept. 15 against National Post columnist Roy McGregor.

Ft. Erie, it should be noted, is not only a bustling border community, but was also the site of the bloodiest fight ever to occur on Canadian soil.

The event was not videotaped unfortunately, but thanks to the dauntless shoe-leather reporting of Steve Paikin (@spaikin - who also happens to host TV Ontario's flagship public affairs program, The Agenda http://theagenda.tvo.org), we have an eye-witness account, complete with photographs. Badly lit photographs, true, but one can't have everything in this life.
