Deborah Needleman Joins T: After weeks of speculation, Deborah Needleman has finally been announced as the new editor-in-chief of the New York Times’ T magazine, leaving her current (much lauded) post as the editor of WSJ. Needleman replaces Sally Singer who left the title after two years at its helm. Times executive editor Jill Abramson announced the appointment in a release noting, “Deborah is a creative and innovative editor with an impeccable sense of style and design.” [WWD]

Daphne Guinness’s Bathtub Antics: A judge has ordered heiress and fashion plate Daphne Guiness to pay her downstairs neighbors for damages created by her bathtub, which she reportedly let overflow no less than three times—flooding their $12 million apartment. The couple claimed that Guiness’s bathtub antics have left them ‘terrified’ and have filed motions to try and ban her from using it. They'll all have to head back to court to establish how much money must be paid in order to properly repair the damages. "I would never intentionally flood their apartment. I by no means want to be a bad neighbor." Guinness explained to the NY Post of her recently-renovated bathroom that now boasts stainless-steel floors, "I have totally waterproofed the place and now it is the safest apartment in New York."
