Wealthy Manhattanites Give Lots of Money to Politicians

There is a distinct geographical location that exceeds all others for the money its residents have contributed to the presidential campaigns of both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. It is Manhattan.
Five of the Top Ten zip codes contributing cash to the reelection campaign of incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama are in Manhattan, according to calculations made by OpenSecrets.org. So, too, are five of the Top Ten zip codescontributing to Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
