Romney Wins Debate, Political Science Looks Foolish

Romney, biggest debate winner in history, according to Gallup.

Gallup found that by a 72 percent to 20 percent margin, voters thought Romney did a better job during the debate than Obama. Independents gave Romney a big win — he won 70-19 among unaffiliated voters. And by a 10-point margin, even Democrats said that Romney won.

Now Romney is enjoying the biggest post-debate bounce ever recorded: he is now tied 47-47 with President Obama.

Political science proclaims, "debates don't matter." After this election, we may need to retire a lot of political science.
