Royal Hot Tub Sesh

Not, perhaps, the ideal photo-op for the young royals return to duty...

William kept his clothes on and Kate kept her distance today when the young royal couple encountered half a dozen England footballers in a hot tub.

The moment came towards the end of a tour of the UK's new soccer HQ, St George's Park, after Wiliam and Kate had been shown all the new state of the art gym and training equipment.

As William passed the hot tub he leaned in and said, "It looks quite cosy in there."

It may not have been the ideal way for the young royal couple to move on from the naked pictures furore, but, for now, it seems it will have to do.

There was massive interest in today's trip, with a huge number of photographers turned out today to capture images of William and Kate's first public appearance since pictures were taken of Kate sunbathing topless, as the young royals opened a new soccer centre with members of the England soccer team.

William and Kate did attend an event in London yesterday, but only one agency photographer was permitted inside. A bigger test for Kate will come tomorrow when she attends a royal walkabout with members of the public - who have a habit of asking impertinent questions - tomorrow. William has cried off because he is attending the funeral of his childhood nanny.

Kate was showcasing a new winter wardrobe, wearing a understated grey coat dress by British high store chain Reiss.

Kate's a fan of coat dresses and itseems this season will be no different; yesterday she wore a burgundy coat dress by Paule Ka.
