Hi, I'm Ilana, the New Intern

Hello readers! For the next few months, I'll be the resident intern at the Frum Beast team. A little about myself:

I'm a senior at the University of Maryland (go Terps!), where I study rhetoric and how it relates to political culture. I planned to go into political strategy or political speechwriting until I realized that entailed giving up my life in the name of sleazy politicians. So I've decided to write about them instead.

I'm a native New Yorker in all ways, and believe New York is the best city in the world [editor's note: it's not] (the verdict's still out on DC.)

I'd describe myself as a realist. Others call it cynicism.
